What do we plan to do:

• Open the Stone Heritage Centre and promote it for use by local residents and schools.
• Work with Police, Borough and County Councils to ensure adequate control over traffic in the High Street.
• Continue support for the Theatre and Cinema to the benefit of residents locally and in surrounding settlements.
• Continue to support traders to run town centre events and to run our own.
• Continue the support for local charities and voluntary groups.
• Support a review of leisure and play facilities in and around the town and press for effective use of S106 monies.
• Continue to represent residents of all wards on the Stone Police Liaison Group.
• Continue to press SCC Highways for a solution to the splitter island problem at the bottom of Christchurch Way.
• Represent residents in fighting for adequate mitigation of the impacts of the HS2 Railhead and, if built, with any
ongoing issues.
• Ongoing funding and support for the maintenance and improvement of Crown Meadow, a great natural asset for
Stone.
• Creation of a Covid Commemorative Orchard adjacent to the Crown Meadow.
