AMBER MOTTERSHEAD

My family has lived in Stone for more than 70 years and the Town is therefore very important to me. I would like to use my skills and energy to help develop it for present and future generations and I believe that I can do this best by being part of a group of independent thinkers who put Stone and its community first - rather than toe the line of a national political party.

I studied Film and Television and Events Management at university and later gained a Masters degree in Digital Marketing. I have worked as a marketer and events manager and I am currently employed in the travel sector. Over recent years I have also carried out voluntary work for a number of independent businesses in the town, helping them with issues such as digital marketing and have taken part in charitable fund-raising activities. I helped develop the successful 2020 Christmas Light Switch-On and Video that has had more than 18,000 views from Stone residents and people across the World. I hope it brought a much a needed smile to many during the pandemic.

I would like to use my knowledge and work experience to bring marketing creativity to the Town Council and feel that I can contribute to the promotion of Stone as a leisure destination to the benefit of both residents and businesses. I am impressed with what the Stone Independent led Town Council has achieved in a few short years and support their approach.

I can work happily with a wide range of age groups and believe that I can bring a fresh and youthful perspective to discussions. I am friendly, approachable and a good listener. I have been welcomed by the Stone Independent Group and I promise to put residents first and work with our community, to become a strong and energetic voice in making all our lives better.
